Escape to Paradise: Uncover Mile Stone Villa's Bali Magic
Escape to Paradise: Mile Stone Villa - Bali’s Hidden Gem (Or Is It?) A Review with All the Messy Details
Alright, folks, buckle up. You're about to get the real deal on Mile Stone Villa in Bali – the one with the sweeping promises of "paradise" and "Bali magic." I'm here to tell you, after spending a week there, it's… complicated. Let's just say paradise needs a little… fine-tuning. Prepare for a deep dive, a messy, unfiltered, and hopefully helpful review that’ll tell you everything, from the free Wi-Fi (hallelujah!) to the potential pitfalls of the poolside bar (more on that later…).
First Impressions (and the Endless Search for the Perfect Instagram Angle)
Getting there was… well, Bali traffic. Let's just say the airport transfer (thankfully arranged by the villa) was a long one. But finally, finally, we arrived. The initial glimpse of Mile Stone Villa was stunning. Seriously, that "pool with a view" picture? Yeah, it's legit. The air conditioning in the public areas? A godsend. The lobby… let's just say its perfect for that endless search of the perfect Instagram angle. It was impressive, but not perfect.
Accessibility: A Mixed Bag, Honestly.
Okay, this is important for some, so let's get real. Accessibility is a mixed bag. There’s an elevator, which is a huge plus. However, I didn't see anything about dedicated facilities for disabled guests, which needs improvement. The exterior corridor/access may be a challenge for some with mobility issues. I didn't see any CCTV outside the property which is not ideal. You'd want to be on the safe side, right?
Rooms: Your Oasis (or Maybe Just a Room After All)
Our room? It was… good. The air conditioning was a lifesaver. Free Wi-Fi? Glorious! Blackout curtains? Essential for Bali sunshine, which is very helpful for those who want to sleep in. The bed was comfy enough, although not the "extra long bed" advertised. The bathroom? Perfectly functional. The complimentary tea and bottle of water were a nice touch. Honestly, it was all the everyday things that made the difference. I will give a shoutout to the slippers and bathrobes!
A slightly less impressive thing was the soundproofing. I heard some noise from the other rooms, but nothing unbearable. I would've loved it if the window that opens. I also loved the smoke detector!
Now, for the minor inconveniences:
- The hair dryer wasn't the strongest, my hair took long to dry.
- The desk wasn't the most comfortable for long work sessions
- The satellite/cable channels were a bit limited. I was hoping for something more varied
Dining, Drinking, and Snacking: Food, Glorious Food (But Sometimes Not So Glorious)
Okay, this is where things get interesting. Mile Stone Villa offers a lot of dining, drinking and snacking options. Let's start with the good: The Asian breakfast was fantastic. The coffee/tea in the restaurant was always fresh. They had a pretty decent vegetarian restaurant, which was a huge plus. And the poolside bar?! It was my happy place. Sipping a Bintang while staring at that view? Pure bliss.
Now, the not-so-good: The service at the poolside bar could be slow, especially during happy hour. At one point, there was a big fight with my party about the fact that happy hour was running out. The bar was a bit of a hit or miss, I hope they can improve on this part. The buffet in the restaurant was a bit… underwhelming. The food felt like it had been sitting out for a while, I should have tried A la carte. I avoided it after the first try. Thank god for room service [24-hour]! The snack bar was a nice touch.
They offered so many options: alternative meal arrangement, Asian cuisine in restaurant, International cuisine in restaurant, Salad in restaurant, Soup in restaurant, Western cuisine in restaurant, and desserts in restaurant. I could tell they have tried hard!
Things to Do & Ways to Relax: Spa Day Dreams and Fitness Center Realities
They have a lot of options! Let's start with the spa: this was the highlight of my trip! I loved the massage, it made all my worries disappear. I also loved the Body scrub and Body wrap, I felt revitalized. They also had a sauna, spa, steam room, and spa/sauna. I didn't try the foot bath.
The fitness center was… okay. It was small, and some of the equipment looked a little tired. I didn't spend a lot of time there. They give you access to a gym/fitness option.
The big swimming pool was amazing, I really enjoyed this.
Cleanliness and Safety: Feeling Safe, Mostly
They really seemed to be taking precautions, which was reassuring. I saw hand sanitizer everywhere, and they had anti-viral cleaning products. They had a daily disinfection in common areas and rooms sanitized between stays. The staff were all trained in safety protocol. I felt pretty safe there, and it's an important point to take into consideration.
Services and Conveniences: The Good, the Bad, and the Occasionally Baffling
Okay, the services and conveniences. They offer a whole bunch of stuff, from business facilities to a gift/souvenir shop. They also have a laundry service, dry cleaning, I found this very useful. They have a concierge and currency exchange, which comes in handy.
The luggage storage was great, I didn't have a problem with it.
Now for the "baffling": I found the convenience store to be… well, not very convenient. It was small and didn't have a great selection. I would have benefitted from a better convenience store.
For the Kids: I don’t have any kids.
I'm going to skip this section, as I unfortunately did not bring any kids.
Getting Around: Easy Peasy (Mostly)
The airport transfer was smooth, and the taxi service was readily available. The option for car park [free of charge] and car park [on-site] is a big advantage.
Internet Access: Praise the Wi-Fi Gods!
Another big plus! Free Wi-Fi in all rooms! Plus, Internet access - wireless, Internet access – LAN, Internet. The internet was working great, all the time!
Final Verdict: Is Mile Stone Villa Bali’s Hidden Gem? Maybe, But…
Mile Stone Villa is… a solid choice. It's got a lot going for it: the stunning views, the comfortable rooms, the (mostly) delicious food, the incredible spa. But it's not perfect. There are some areas that could use some improvement, from the bar service to the accessibility.
So, would I recommend it? Yes, with a few caveats. If you’re looking for a luxurious, stress-free vacation? Maybe keep looking. But if like me, you crave beautiful views, a relaxing atmosphere, and you’re willing to overlook a few imperfections, then Mile Stone Villa might be just what you need for a well-deserved time of relaxation.

Yogyakarta's Hidden Gem: 2BR Villa in Pentingsari - Full Board Included!
Alright, buckle up buttercups, because we're about to dive headfirst into the chaos that is my potential Mile Stone Villa Bali itinerary. Forget sleek and polished, we're going for "slightly unhinged, but hopefully unforgettable." This isn't your grandma's brochure, honey. Let's get messy!
Mile Stone Villa Bali: A Pre-Trip Brain Dump
Okay, so, Bali. Mile Stone Villa. Sun, sand, and hopefully, some decent Wi-Fi so I can actually work (wishful thinking, I know). I've stared at pictures of this place till my eyes crossed. Looks idyllic, right? We'll see. My track record for "idyllic" leans more towards "controlled chaos."
Day 1: Arrival and the Great Luggage Roulette (aka, Oh God, it's HOT)
- Morning (6:00 AM-ish): Wake up in my own bed, full of "optimism" (read: caffeine and the vague promise of a good vacation). Last-minute panic check of passport (yep, still there!), packing list (probably missing half the stuff), and that nagging feeling I've forgotten something crucial. Like, I don't know, my MIND.
- (8:00 AM): Airport shenanigans. Flights are my least favorite part. Try not to cry about the cramped seats and the questionable hygiene. This is the moment where I officially transform into a human stress ball.
- (2:00 PM Bali Time) - ARRIVAL!: Landed! It’s a humid explosion. Seriously, I feel like I walked into a steam bath. Find the pre-arranged transfer. Hope the driver isn’t one of those overly chatty types. (Personal space, people!). Immediate internal battle: embrace the heat, or curl up in a fetal position and cry? I'm leaning toward crying… but that would be silly.
- (3:00 PM): Arrive at Mile Stone Villa. And… breathes deeply. The pictures almost do it justice. Check-in. Pray the room is clean. Pray the AC works. This is critical.
- (4:00 PM): Luggage Roulette Begins! This is because I always overpack. Unpack, realize I packed two pairs of shoes and a swimsuit. Immediately begin to regret choices. Where is my favourite sarong? Maybe my hairbrush too.
- (5:00 PM): First official dip in the Villa's pool! Okay, maybe this is paradise. Take a moment to just… exist in the sun and water. This is what I came for.
- (7:00 PM): Dinner at the Villa. The menu says “Indonesian Feast”. I am praying for food. I’m a hangry human. It's probably delicious, but you know what? Food is also an adventure.
Day 2: Temples, Monkeys, Maybe a Near-Death Experience (Probably Not)
- (8:00 AM): Wake up, try to look elegant while stretching, fail. Coffee! Strong coffee!
- (9:00 AM): Visit to Tanah Lot Temple. (Pictures I have seen are dreamy). Drive there! Hopefully, the traffic isn't insane. I will NOT handle bumper-to-bumper traffic well. The views SHOULD be stunning, and I will try to channel my inner zen.
- (11:00 AM): Uluwatu Temple (more temples! I'm already starting to feel like a spiritual being). I've heard about the monkeys. I know I should keep my stuff close, but let's be honest… I'm the type who will be distracted by the view and have my sunglasses stolen. Pray for me.
- (12:30 PM): Lunch! Try a local Warung (small, local restaurant). Order something I can't pronounce, and hope for the best. (Will I get food poisoning? It's a risk I'm willing to take for the authentic experience!)
- (2:00 PM): Back to the Villa. Chill by the pool. Read (try to read--the sun is beckoning)
- (6:00 PM): Sunset cocktails (mandatory). Stare at the sunset. Allow the beauty to get to me. Feel grateful.
- (8:00 PM): Another Indonesian Feast, tonight maybe, I will try the local meal called, Nasi Goreng.
Day 3: Beach Day and the Quest for the Perfect Wave (Or At Least the Ability to Stand Up)
- (9:00 AM): Beach day at Seminyak Beach. Pack sunscreen. Double pack sunscreen. Then, triple pack sunscreen. I burn. Quickly.
- (10:00 AM): Attempt at surfing. I have the coordination of a newborn giraffe. Expect a lot of falling down. Embrace the wipeout.
- (12:00 PM): Lunch at a beachside warung (again! I'm getting adventurous!). Fresh seafood!
- (2:00 PM): Sunbathing/Relaxing. I hope I don't fall asleep and get sunburnt.
- (5:00 PM): Sunset cocktails on the beach (because, when in Bali).
- (7:00 PM): Dinner at a fancy restaurant. Dress up a little, and pretend I have my life together.
Day 4: Exploring Ubud and the Art of Doing Nothing
- (9:00 AM): Day trip to Ubud. (Again, please let there not be traffic!) Visit the Tegalalang Rice Terraces. Instagram moment! (Let's not pretend I'm not doing this for the ‘gram).
- (11:00 AM): Explore the Ubud Monkey Forest. (Double-check the sunglasses situation).
- (1:00 PM): Lunch in Ubud.
- (2:00 PM): Explore the town of Ubud.
- (3:00 PM): Find a traditional dance performance.
- (5:00 PM): Head Back to Villa, time for a massage.
- (7:00 PM): dinner at the Villa.
Day 5: The "I'm Probably Not Ready to Leave" Farewell
- (8:00 AM): One last breakfast at the Villa. Savor every bite.
- (10:00 AM): Last-minute souvenir shopping. Panicked purchases. Regret most of them later.
- (12:00 PM): A final swim in the Villa's pool. Soak it all in.
- (2:00 PM): Pack. Sigh dramatically.
- (4:00 PM): Check out. Say goodbye to paradise.
- (5:00 PM): Head to the airport.
- (8:00 PM): Departure. This time, I will not even try to be happy. No. This time, I'm going to start the depression early.
- (10:00 PM): Back home. Cry. Start planning the next trip immediately.
The Imperfections You Can Expect:
- Procrastination: I'll probably change this itinerary five times before I actually leave.
- Spontaneity: I'll probably ditch this whole plan and just wander aimlessly at some point.
- Food Fumbles: Expect me to order something completely bizarre, then try to pretend I love it.
- Embarrassing Moments: There will definitely be at least one.
- Emotional Rollercoaster: I'll be giddy, stressed, overjoyed, and homesick all in the span of an hour. It's the Bali way!
Alright, wish me luck. May the odds be ever in my favor… or at least, may I remember where I put my passport.
Campanile Paris-Saclay: Your Dream Stay Awaits (Gif-sur-Yvette)
So, Mile Stone Villa – Is it REALLY paradise? Or just Instagram-perfect *ish*?
The villas are all about privacy, right? How private? Can you actually SHOUT without the neighbors hearing? (Asking for a friend...)
Let's talk about the food. Is it amazing? Expensive? Can I get my avocado toast fix?
What are the best activities to do *around* the villa? I don't want to be penned up the whole time.
What if something goes wrong? Like, say, I get a tummy bug from that street food I shouldn't have eaten? Is there help?
Is it good for couples? Families? Or is it just for rich people who want to flaunt their wealth?
Okay, spill the tea. What was the absolute *best* part of your stay at Mile Stone Villa?
